A Guide to On-Camera Flash
Create light around your subject or augment existing light with the VS-570SMI Wireless TTL Flash from Bolt. Available here to be fully compatible with Sony's ADI / P-TTL, including use as a wireless master or slave TTL flash, the VS-570SMI allows photographers to work quickly and comfortably by knowing that settings can be easily determined with the camera's automatic metering system. This unit also has good power output with a guide number of 141' at ISO 100 and 50mm and can cover a range of focal lengths from 24-105mm using the zoom head, or as wide as 18mm with the pull-out diffusion panel. You can even control output manually with power settings from 1/1 to 1/64.
In addition to wireless TTL, the VS-570S can be set up as a manual master with an optical pulse that features a range of 33' or a simple optical slave. Multiple sync modes are available for complete control over your images, including high-speed sync and both 1st and 2nd curtain sync settings. The flash also has a recycle time of 0.5-9 seconds and can run on either 4 AA batteries or an external power pack, thanks to the inclusion of an HV power port. Additionally, for basic off-camera use it has a standard PC sync terminal.
This model is equipped with the Sony Multi Interface Shoe and is not directly compatible with the Sony/Minolta Auto-lock Accessory shoe. Optional adapters are available for compatibility with older camera models.
