With its single-cutaway design and onboard Fishman Isys+ Preamp System, the C5-CEBK from Cordoba is a nylon-string acoustic/electric guitar styled in a high-gloss PU finish. Its top is crafted of solid Canadian cedar, while the back and sides are fashioned from mahogany. A wood mosaic inlay rosette adorns the soundhole, and other appointments, such as Indian rosewood binding, round out the aesthetics of the body.
Its neck is slightly thinner than Cordoba’s traditional Spanish Classical guitar models, offering a narrow 50mm nut width. In addition, the neck has a standard scale length of 25.6”, a C-shaped profile, and a rosewood fingerboard complete with 19 frets. Mother-of-pearl side dot marker inlays at the fifth, seventh, and ninth frets help you to navigate your way around the fingerboard. Cordoba gold tuning machines secure the strings to the headstock, while an Indian rosewood bridge affixes strings to the body, and a bone nut and saddle offer additional resonance and clarity. Finally, by means of a two-way adjustable truss-rod, you can fine-tune the action of the guitar, if needed, to compensate for changes in string tension or climate.
For electronics, this guitar is equipped with a Fishman Isys+ Preamp System, which provides two tonal controls for bass and treble, as well as a volume knob and a phase switch for inverting polarity on-stage, thereby fighting feedback. A tuner is also included, and a Sonicore undersaddle pickup rounds out the electronics.
