A Guide to Marine Binoculars

Designed with large objectives, phase-corrected prisms, and extra-low-dispersion glass, the Hawke Sport Optics green 10x50 Endurance ED Binoculars are ideal for low-light situations, such as during predawn and post-dusk periods. The combination of glass and coatings combined with anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics produces bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition and virtually no fringing. Whether hunting, birding, boating, or watching sporting events, the Endurance ED binoculars will bring your subject up close for making detailed observations.

To help offset the weight of the over-sized objectives, the Endurance ED binoculars are built with a lightweight polycarbonate chassis that is corrosion resistant to help it hold up to a lifetime of outdoor use. It is also temperature resistant, so the optical tubes won't expand and contract with temperature fluctuation, which, over time, can cause the optics to move out of collimation and prevent the binoculars from being able to achieve sharp focus. The chassis is protected by a texturized rubber armor that has an additional pebble texture placed where the palms will naturally fall to give it a non-slip grip especially in cold and wet conditions. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and fogproof - especially in extreme weather conditions. To reduce user fatigue and keep them steady, a tripod adapter mount is located in the front of the hinge for setting them up on a support system. A right-eye diopter adjustment allows the binoculars to be customized to most people's needs, and the twist-up eyecups means they can be comfortably used with or without eyewear.

Optical Performance

10x magnification

  • 50mm objective lenses
  • Compact BAK4 roof prisms
  • Extra-low-dispersion (ED) glass corrects for chromatic aberrations for true color representation and reduced fringing
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics improve color rendition, contrast, and overall image brightness
  • Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal light dispersion, improve contrast and color fidelity
  • 304' field of view at 1000 yards
  • 58° apparent angle of view

    Use and Handling

    Closed bridge configuration

  • 60-75mm interpupillary distance range
  • Large knurled fast-focus wheel moves from near to far focus in just 1.2 turns
  • Right-eye dioptric correction
  • Twist-up click-stop eye cups for use with or without eyewear
  • Wide 5mm exit pupil
  • Long 18mm eye relief
