Hawke Optics' black 6x21 Vantage 400 Laser Rangefinder combines a Class 1 eye-safe IR laser with a useful multi-coated monocular to create an effective and waterproof ranging system for shooting, archery, golf, construction, site survey, and other activities.
With a metering range of 7-437 yards, a wide 420' field of view, and a ranging accuracy of ±1.1 yard, the rangefinder features spot and continuous ranging—take a reading on a stationary object, or hold the button down and scan the distance to numerous points. Rain and Hunt modes are used to improve accuracy in inclement weather or tall grass and brush, respectively. The intuitive two-button/one-handed operation enables quick activation and operation while allowing you keep hold of your bow or rifle. The Vantage is powered by an included CR2 battery and comes with a wrist strap and carrying case.
Optical Performance
6x magnification
21mm objective lens
BK7 roof prism
Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics help to improve light transmission, color, contrast, and brightness
420' field of view at 1000 yards
Comfortable 18mm eye relief
Rangefinder
Class 1 eye-safe IR laser
7-7-437 metering range
±1 yard/meter accuracy
Measures distance in yards or meters
Spot mode ranges to single, stationary target
Scan mode ranges continuously to multiple targets or single moving target
Runs on one included CR2 battery
Standard mode for line-of-sight straight linear distance
Angle mode measures angle of projection to nearest tenth of a degree
Rain mode measures line-of-sight distance, but ignores raindrops to prevent bad metering. Target distance must be more than 33 yards (30m) away
Hunt mode measures line-of-sight distance, but ignores interference from objects like tall grass or bushes
Use and Handling
In-view LCD display shows reticle, range, targeting mode, horizontal distance and angle readout, laser emission signal, and low battery indicator
Easy focus mechanism with dioptric focus for in-view display
Intuitive two-button control
Auto shutoff after 15 seconds of non-use to conserve battery power
