A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes

Get the most out of every advantage that the Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 24-72x70 Spotting Scope has to offer when you're out in the field, on the trail, or at the range. Its broad zoom range allows you to quickly and easily find or track your subjects, then with a simple twist of the eyepiece collar dial it up to maximum power to make detailed observations. Fully multi-coated optics and a traditional BK7 Porro prism light path offer a rich depth of field with accurate color rendition and high-contrast images for an immersive observational experience.

The eyepiece is set at a 45° angle to the optical tube to place the user's head in a comfortable viewing position whether standing, sitting, or lying prone. Its impact and corrosion-resistant polycarbonate housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature or environmental changes. The spotter is supplied with a tabletop tripod that has an integrated window mount for fast glassing on the go; standard 1/4"-20 mount photo/video/field tripods are also compatible. To protect the scope during transport and storage, Hawke includes a hard carrying case; and when you're in the field, use the supplied soft stay-on case for additional protection from drops, knocks, or other impacts.
