This flat field optic differs from your standard lens by creating a slice of focus that is bordered by gradual blur created by tilting the Edge 50 Optic in the Composer Pro or Composer Pro II in conjunction with the 9-blade adjustable aperture for smooth out-of-focus areas. If used as a 50mm prime lens, images will be crisp from edge to edge. You can manually change the aperture from f/3.2 to f/22 utilizing the dial on the front of the lens. The optic also offers manual focus which, by using the close focus extension feature, can focus as close as 8" from your subject. In addition, the Edge 50 offers 46mm front threads for any filters you would like to use.
