A Guide to On-Camera Flash

With full support for Sony ADI / P-TTL, including high-speed sync, and a built-in 2.4 GHz radio system, the MG80 Pro Flash from Nissin is a powerful and professional quality flash designed for high volume wedding and event photographers. It features robust heat resistance, flexible battery options, and an advanced wireless control system, and its impressive guide number of 196' at ISO 100 and 200mm, makes the MG80 useful for both on- and off-camera operation.

The unit's interface makes it easy to control your flash without having to navigate obscure flash menus, and the most commonly used functions are easily accessible including TTL flash compensation, manual power, flash zoom, and the 8-watt modeling light. Additionally, the MG80 functions as a transceiver, and with Nissin's built-in Air System, you can wirelessly control up to 8 groups at distances up to 300'. This means you can use the flash as an on-camera commander for your off-camera flashes, or you can take it off-camera and use it as a remote flash by attaching another MG80 or Nissin Air10s Commander to your camera's hot shoe.
