The Carbon Fiber Professional Tripod from ZEISS is a variable-height, field support designed for use with ZEISS' series of binoculars and spotting scopes.
The tripod is sold as a full kit, which includes a pan and tilt head that facilitates smooth movement when tracking moving subjects or re-positioning your scope. With a maximum height of 72.4", the tripod can accommodate most users when standing upright or can be lowered to a minimum height of 24.8" when sitting or kneeling. The carbon fiber, 3-section design makes the tripod both compact and lightweight - at just 27.5" in length and just 5.4 lb, the kit may be carried easily in the field or stowed during transport or storage.
Both set-up and break-down are quick and convenient with the inclusion of easy-to-use twist locks, which require only a quarter rotation to unlock and re-lock the leg sections in place. Each leg also features a top section that has been wrapped in padding, providing a soft cushion when carrying the tripod over-the-shoulder and giving the user a soft, stable grip.
The included pan and tilt head uses a dual lock design to control both the pan and tilt controls separately. Your scope's position can be accurately adjusted via the integrated control arm and quick and easy mounting is facilitated via a dovetail-style quick release plate. The plate, along with the quick release clamp, is 6.3" in length, allowing users to slide the scope back and forth within the clamp until proper balance is achieved.
