A versatile wide with a penchant for close subjects, the M42-mount Distagon T* 25mm f/2.8 ZS from ZEISS is well-suited for a range of subjects, from landscapes to interiors. The lens uses a Distagon optical concept, which helps to reduce field curvature and distortion for high overall sharpness and accurate rendering across the frame. Also, a T* anti-reflective coating has been applied to individual elements to control lens flare and ghosting. Balancing the distinct wide-angle focal length, this lens is also characterized by its 6.7" minimum focusing distance and 1:2.3 magnification ratio for working at close-up distances.Wide-angle prime is designed for 35mm-format M42 screw mount SLRs.Distagon optical design affords high sharpness, well-corrected image quality from edge-to-edge, and very low field curvature.ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating has been applied to each lens surface to help minimize reflections and provide greater contrast and color fidelity.Manual focus design enables a minimum focusing distance of 6.7" along with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.3 to suit working with close-up subjects.All-metal lens barrel and mount offers high durability and rigidity.A nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality when working with selective focus techniques.
